Gary Hauschulz

Gary creates expressive sketches using unconventional materials—including coffee, espresso, tea, and wine—on textured papers, napkins, and paper towels. Often begun during quiet mornings in local coffee shops, his work celebrates spontaneity, experimentation, and the fleeting beauty of everyday moments.

About the Artist

Gary Hauschulz is a painter and sculptor whose work spans coffee-and-wine paintings and sculpture in marble, bronze, stone, and cement. He especially values the timelessness of carving and has worked with Grand Junction’s Art on the Corner program for more than two decades—an experience he describes as “the most fun I’ve had being a grunt.” Gary is also the lead coordinator for Palisade Art Vision (PAV), Palisade’s public sculpture program, now celebrating its 11th season.
